Where did astrology originate?

Astrology originated in ancient civilizations, but the exact place of its origin is difficult to determine. However, many historians and scholars believe that astrology originated in ancient Babylon (modern-day Iraq) and ancient Egypt.

Babylon, one of the earliest places where astronomical observations and the study of celestial bodies took place, is believed to be the birthplace of astrology.
